Announcement: GamedayMap will now allow seasonal registration.  Once you tag your Tailgate, it will remain there for the season or until you delete it.

My wife and I are proud alumni of the University of Mississippi, or Ole Miss as it's affectionately called, and have always been sports fans and avid Tailgaters.  This love of Tailgating was born and cultivated during our undergraduate years, every Saturday during football season, in the Grove - the beautiful 10-acre tract of land in the middle of the Ole Miss campus, where hospitality, tradition, and sportsmanship are as sacred as Sunday.  The Grove has been hailed by fans, alumni, and the Media as one of the greatest Tailgating spots in the country.

William Faulkner, a famous southern writer and Nobel Prize winner, said, "To understand the world, you must first understand a place like Mississippi."  I say, to understand Mississippi, you must first understand a place like the Grove.

For all its grandeur, the scene in The Grove on Gameday can be overwhelming, for visitors, alumni, and students alike. The tents are packed in so tight that when one tent ends, often the next one begins. It 039;s al so nearly impossible to find anyone when cell phone networks are overloaded and its too loud to hear your phone in your pocket. Out of this frustration, GamedayMap.com was born. We envisioned a service that could bring The Grove into the 21st century by connecting Tailgaters through a simple but effective map, which people could use to plan their Tailgates and find other people's Tailgates as well.

Sincerely,

Zach and Shannon Jex
