GamedayMap is a simple interface that will allow you to connect with other Tailgaters through Tailgate profiles that are tied to a specific point on our map. Now, you´ll never wonder where your friends are on Saturday again. And most importantly, its FREE. Here´s what we have to offer:



Own a unique URL, dedicated to your Tailgate. Once you register your Tailgate, you will be able to place your location on our searchable map so that your friends can find you. Personalize your new Tailgate profile with the food and beverages you are serving, along with a location for others to use to find you if you are unable to speak to them.

Attend your friends´s Tailgates. If you don´t have a Tailgate of your own, our service will allow you to attend a friend´s Tailgate. Once you are attending, other users will be able to search for you and find your location on the map.

Accept comments on your profile. Users will find this option handy if they are trying to plan a Tailgate, or simply want to let someone know when they will be there or that they had a good time with them.

Search for friends. Just type a person´s name, their tent name, or their hometown to search for their position on our map.

Share with Facebook and Twitter. Use Facebook/Twitter connect to share your activities on your favorite social network site.

Other important features to take note of:

You may click on a Tailgate icon on any map to get information such as Tent Name, the person who registered the Tailgate´s name, their Hometown, and a physical location description, along with a link to their Tailgate profile.

Once you register your own Tailgate or are attending a friend´s, use the link in the upper right corner to navigate to the Tailgate profile you are associated with.

Simply clicking the search button without typing anything in the search box will return a list of every registered Tailgate.

The current map will be ready to tag the Sunday the upcoming game. At midnight on the day of the game, the current map will be archived and the new map for the following week will become available.

So, how exactly do I.................?



Create/Share a Tailgate profile     Top


1. Register a membership or sign in through Facebook/Twitter

2. Log In.

3. Click Tag Your Tailgate

4. On the map, drag the red tailgate icon to your desired location. You may zoom in/out as needed.

5. In the left column, enter your Tailgate information in the fields provided. Be as accurate as possible - this information will show up when someone searches for your Tailgate.

6. Enter the email addresses of friends you would like to share your profile with. They will receive an email with a unique link to your Tailgate URL.


Search for a Tailgate     Top


1. There is no login/registration required to use the search feature.

2. Enter a keyword in the search field on the map. Keywords include the Tailgate name, first or last name of the person who registered the Tailgate, or Hometown.

3. Search the list for the Tailgate you are looking for.

4. Click a Tailgate and you will be taken to their Tailgate profile.


Search for a Person     Top


1. There is no login/registration required to use the search feature.

2. Enter a keyword in the search field on the map. Keywords include the first or last name of the person you are searching for or Hometown/State

3. The Tailgate profile of the Tailgate your friend is attending will appear.

4. Click a Tailgate and you will be taken to their Tailgate profile.


Post comments to a Tailgate profile     Top


1. Register a membership or login through Facebook/Twitter.

2. Log In

3. Follow the instructions under Search for a Tailgate or Search for a Person to navigate to a Tailgate profile.

4. Scroll down and enter your comment in the comment box.

5. Click Post.


Sign in through Facebook/Twitter     Top


1. Click the Facebook or Twitter icon.

2. Enter your Facebook/Twitter log in and password.

3. You are now logged in to GamedayMap.com using your Facebook/Twitter information


Attend a friend´s Tailgate     Top


1. Register a membership or login through Facebook/Twitter

2. Follow the instructions under Search for a Tailgate or Search for a Person to navigate to a Tailgate profile.

3. Click Attend.

4. Other users may now search for your location on the map.


Un-attend a friend´s Tailgate     Top


1. Register a membership or login through Facebook/Twitter

2. Follow the instructions under Search for a Tailgate or Search for a Person to navigate to a Tailgate profile.

3. Click Un-attend.

4. You may now Attend another Tailgate.


Use the Map to Search     Top


1. There is no login/registration required to use the search feature.

2. Click on a Tailgate icon.

3. A bubble will appear with the Tailgate information.

4. Click the link to navigate to the full Tailgate profile.


FAQ     Top


1. How do I move my Tailgate?


After you click Tag My Tailgate, your Tailgate will be the red tent icon. Simply drag it to your desired position and click Save. If missed this step, just go to Edit on your Tailgate page and you will have the option of moving your Tailgate to another location.


2. I don't want to use my real name on the site. How do I get it off?


Per our Privacy Policy, GamedayMap reserves the right to use your real name as a keyword on our interactive map. Further developments will allow the user to change their registration information through a user control panel.


3. Can I upload pictures and video to my Tailgate profile?


Not yet, but soon. That functionality will be included in the next phase of development.


4. Are you going to create an iPhone app?


We´re working on it, we promise. We realize it would be easier and much more fun to use GamedayMap through a dedicated phone application.


5. Something has crashed and/or messed up on the site, what should I do?


Please use the "Contact us" link on the bottom of the page and we will address the problem as soon as possible.
